C’est chic, c’est très chic. Paris runway? No, this is après ski. But it might as well be the same thing. If Paris is the fashion capital of the world, then après ski is the fashion capital of the alpine world. Walk across the terrace at CERVOs in Zermatt, Le Chabichou in Courchevel, or just about any luxury ski resort, and you’ll be immersed in a sea of haute couture après ski clothing.

Après ski clothing, undoubtedly, must be fashionable. But it must also be functional. These top 10 pieces are the must-haves for the next ski season. From designer brands to luxury boutiques, discover the latest looks for ski clothes, accessories, and shoes.

1. Chloe x Fusalp

Both born in 1952, it seemed only right for ski clothing company Fusalp and Parisian brand Chloé to team together. These two French designer brands have created a one-piece suit that you’ll find any excuse to wear. Come straight from the slopes or wander through the village to get to après. Either way, this ski suit will have a seventies chic look about it. It’s a vision of femininity and free spirit. So it’s unsurprising to find out that the daring Brigitte Bardot was the inspiration for this piece. And with such a shapely and sophisticated look about it, BB’s values and symbolism of sexual emancipation certainly shine through. Plus, match it with Chloé x Fusalp’s elegant ski helmet to complete the look.

Features:

  • Signature colours of both brands: Rust, Marin and Neige
  • Technical material inserts at the shoulders
  • Smock-effect on the chest
  • Large anorak collar
  • Striped ribbed cuffs in Italian wool
  • Protective knee pads
  • Adjustable waistbelt
  • Thumbholes at the cuffs
  • Zipped pockets (including the all-important lift pass pocket)
  • Ankle gaiters

2. Moncler scarf

Everyone knows about the iconic Moncler beanies. But get a hold of one of Moncler’s scarves to be truly ahead of the game. This men’s Intarsia-Knit scarf is part of their new collection and will, most definitely, turn a few heads. Its design is inspired by the mountains themselves. But it is the wonder of the North Pole that’s the specific muse of this scarf.

3. Moon Boot

A spirit of originality, innovation, and revolution. The Moon Boot is all about firsts. The first man on the moon. But also, a series of ‘firsts’ in designer collaborations. This year Moon Boot has collaborated with the jewellery brand Swarovski to create a limited-edition model. With glamour and sparkles in mind, this silver boot is embellished with Swarovski crystals. Perfect for an après skistatement.

2021 also sees a special project for Moon Boot with artist Daniel Gebhart de Koekkoek. The Berlin-based Austrian artist chose to picture the boots on newborn elephants. As well as making for dramatic artwork, the baby elephant symbolises positivity, looking ahead, and ironically, social distancing.

Looking back, Moon Boot has relentlessly impressed with a series of collaborations. Out and about at après you could spot a pair of Moon Boots that has combined its style with Jimmy Choo, Chloé, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Goldbergh or Moncler – to name a few.

4. Cartier sunglasses

Audacity. That’s what Louis-François Cartier founded his eponymous brand on in 1847. And audacity is always welcomed at après – whether in Andermatt, Aspen or any other alpine bubble. In the sunny scenes of the ski slopes, nothing looks quite so modestly audacious than a pair of Cartier sunglasses. Specifically, the men’s Pasha de Cartier sunglasses.

With the slippery surfaces of snow, ice and, of course, the odd spilt drink, you need an après ski shoe that you can trust. It’s about style too. Luckily Bogner creates snow boots to satisfy all needs.
