“Gastronomy is and always has been connected with its sister art of love.” This quote by American food writer M.F.K. Fisher perfectly underscores the intertwining of passion and artistry that is rooted in the culinary world. Every dish is the product of a chef’s love for their craft, where ingredients are chosen with care and techniques are perfected with devotion. At W Verbier’s Haute Cuisine, guests are invited to experience this passion firsthand, embarking on a culinary journey where love and gastronomy unite.

W Verbier, an upscale hotel in the heart of Switzerland’s Valais Canton, offers not only exceptional accommodation, but also culinary excellence. Over three days, ten chefs combining fourteen Michelin stars descend upon the alpine retreat’s kitchens for a weekend of gourmet delights and experimental cookery. Participants in W Verbier’s Haute Cuisine event will enjoy intimate cooking classes with the world-class chefs, as well as a selection of five-course themed dinners that are bound to excite any epicurean explorer. This gourmet event is more than just a dining experience; it is an immersive event that tantalises the tastebuds and provides a deeper insight into the world of haute cuisine.

Food at W Verbier's Haute CuisineW Verbier’s Haute Cuisine is set apart from other gastronomic events by its immersive nature. The first of the themed dinners for Haute Cuisine 6.0 is ‘A Taste of Valais’, where Chefs Natali, Sale, Cesari, Kirchens and Drapeau showcase Valaisan terroir using local ingredients. This is followed by ‘Sound’ where Chefs Arola, Caron, Pourcel, Mattagne and Huang turn music into a gastronomic masterpiece. The final themed dinner is the Showdown Competition, where the guests adopt the role of the jury as the ten chefs compete for the coveted prize of best dish of the evening. These five-course meals, accompanied with wine and champagne, seamlessly blend luxury with playfulness to create an event that celebrates all the best parts of gastronomy.

Haute Cuisine further immerses guests into the dining experience through several interactive cooking classes, followed by an exclusive lunch with the chefs. These will be hosted at Eat Hola, W Verbier’s elegant tapas bar, and Bô, their larger restaurant that focuses on celebrating the art of taste and seasonality. Here, world-class chefs, including Sergi Arola, Nicolas Sale, Jean-Baptiste Natali and Thierry Drapeau, invite you to step into the kitchen and intimately learn their craft, sharing the techniques and stories behind their culinary creations. The opportunity to go beyond mere tasting, to understand the depth and complexity behind each dish, elevates this event from a sensory experience to a profound celebration of culinary craft.

Beyond its culinary delights, W Verbier represents the height of alpine luxury. The wooden chalet-style hotel is the only ski in/ski out five-star hotel in the area, located directly at the base of the Medran lift. By incorporating rustic local materials with modern furnishings, W Verbier has created a sophisticated contemporary retreat that pays tribute to the exceptional landscape surrounding it. Floor-to-ceiling windows and pine balconies provide a panoramic view of the mountains beyond, reminding guests of the slope-side adventures that await them. After a thrilling day on the slopes, guests can recuperate in the hotel’s 1,300 square metre spa. With 9 bespoke treatment rooms, a full-body cryotherapy cabin, and an indoor/outdoor pool, it is the ideal place for relaxation and recovery.
