The small country of Switzerland is known for being the best amongst the world’s giants at several things we love. Switzerland is known for making the best chocolate, to be the best in banking, for making the best watches and of course skiing.  When it comes to time pieces, Switzerland is without peer as a result of their advanced technology, heritage and tradition and having a far superior craftsmanship than any other country. Most will know Rolex, but we are not talking about this behemoth with assembly lines that crank out over a million units per year. At the pinnacle of the art of Swiss watchmaking are the uber exclusive brands such as Audemars Piguet, Breguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre or Vacheron Constantin who may only make 20 of a particular watch style in a given year. They are rare, unique, and, yes, expensive.  When it comes to skiing, the same can be said for one of Switzerland’s exclusive ski resorts, Andermatt and its finest and rare gem of a hotel,  The Chedi Andermatt.
