Good music, good vibes and falling snow: fellow skiers come together to drink, relax, listen to music and “party on top of the world” after a day on the slopes. Stationed between the beautiful, crisp mountains of Les 2 Alpes, Rise Festival takes place, offering skiers to bop in bobble hats with a beer in hand. It is the perfect après ski event for the music lover.

Les 2 Alpes, France, is a key destination for those keen on snow sports. 220 kilometres of breath-taking slopes and an award-winning snow park are on offer here. Les 2 Alpes luckily caters for all abilities, so newbies and the more advanced are equally welcome. Rise Festival, having run since 2014, it’s popularity is clearly on display, as packages sell out quickly

Rise Festival boasts both indoor and outdoor experiences. So, you are free to party the night away suited and booted in the snow falling around the ‘Alpine’ and ‘High Altitude’ stages. Alternatively, shed the coat for their indoor venues such as Rise Indoor Arena. In addition, you can conveniently ski between venues. What’s not to love? DJs from all around the world will perform at Rise Festival this year, including Arielle Free and Dimitri from Paris. Other artists include Groove Armada and singer, Heidi.

Adventures

Rise Festival experiences are not solely musical, but some incredible adventures are yours for the taking. Husky safaris, where you are led through the stunning alpine forests by huskies, seems an opportunity too unique and wonderful to miss. Other adventures featured include paragliding, helicopter rides and mountain biking. The Les 2 Alpes area offers even more incredible and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Les 2 Alpes features an airbag park for donut-shaped tobogganing. Spa and wellness facilities are also dotted around if you want to add more to your time in the mountains. Fitness, massage, and beauty can be pursued at places such as Chalet Monuier, 2 Alpes massage, and Aquarelle Institute. So, when you’re not enjoying snow sports, or Rise Festival, there is plenty to do.

Food and Drink

Over the past 7 years, Rise Festival has provided great fun, excellent food and drink, and a variety of music to unwind after a day of carving up the slopes. If the mountains aren’t all you want to soak up, there is beer, wine, spirits, gorgeous French cheeses, charcuterie, fondue, and crepes. In the local area, you can also find many bars and bistros if you want to widen your après ski search. Restaurant Casa Nostra, Bar Bistro Les Lutins and the Umbrella bar, which is known as “the best après ski in Les 2 Alpes”.

Not your usual night out, this festival is a night, or six, where there is no need to pop back to your hotel to dress up glamorously for the evening ahead. Hundreds ski down, in hats and helmets, ready to enjoy even more that the mountains in Les 2 Alpes have to offer. Busy, yet friendly, the festival is a fabulous choice for groups on holiday, or those looking to meet new people to enjoy the largest skiable glacier in Europe with.

If December doesn’t work for you, or you want a double dose of après fun, ‘Off-Rise’ will hit the slopes in March. While there is limited availability, the same huge après ski parties can be expected, along with “bottomless sun kissed mountain meals”. Off-Rise offers longer, sunnier days, and a more intimate gathering.

Les 2 Alpes has loads on offer, all year round, but Rise Festival truly is a highlight not to be missed.
