Art on Ice is a name suited to the event that is not captured fully by words such as “theatre”, “dance” or “music” on ice. With live music, a stunning orchestra and choreography that will make you gasp, their event really is the Ultimate Dinner Show. The four-Course Gala dinner, coupled with world-class figure skating, will ensure that your senses are satisfied with an incredible experience for your eyes, ears, and taste buds.

As well as tours across Switzerland, Art on Ice will be hosting the Ultimate Dinner Show in Zurich. With dinner, cocktails and talented artistry taking place on the rink, it promises to be a sensational three nights. Art on Ice also tours, with “top voices on the music stage and the world’s best skating stars, some of whom will travel directly from the Olympic Games in Beijing”.

The Swiss figure-skating galas and tours have been taking place since 1995, in destinations such as Zurich, Lausanne, Basel and St. Moritz. The world-class show on ice features an impressive line-up of artists in the music world, and in the ice-skating world, giving it the title of “the most successful ice-skating gala on the planet”.

Ice-Skaters

Leading some of the most spectacular performances on the rink, Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov, the two-time Olympic champions of 2014, have graced the show on several occasions. Each year, viewers will often see performances from Olympic medallists, World champions and European champions. These skaters’ tremendous skill and the breathtaking choreography ensure a visceral experience- captivating in its beauty. With the variety of skaters and performances, parts of the show are moving, and other parts are more upbeat and fun.

Art on Ice announced that its skating cast would include Swiss Olympian figure-skater and four-time national champion, Alexia Paganini. In addition, Vanessa James, a World Bronze medallist, European champion, and French champion. As well as Eric Radford, Olympic medallist.

Musicians

The ice-skating, however, is only part of the show. The Art on Ice stage has seen the likes of Jessie J, Leona Lewis, and James Blunt. The live music and light show add even more magic to Art on Ice. Nothing is paired back, with the musical performance including back-up dancers off-ice, a full orchestra and expertly controlled lighting to compliment the music and skating performances. The Ultimate Dinner Show sees musicians such as John Newman, Anna Rossinelli, Momento and DJ Flink, perform.

The figure skating dinner gala offers three exclusive packages, with seats right by the side of the ice rink, a four-course gala dinner, cocktails, an after-show party, and free ice skating. This event will be a more intimate and up-close evening, with only a limited number of tickets on offer in comparison to their Art on Ice tour.
